Hey, Can You Cook?! 4

Hey there Rachael Ray fans, "How you doin?" My name is Wayne Ward and I live in Boynton Beach, Florida with the love of my life and soul mate Sarai and our two priceless gems, Anthony Wayne and Ethan. My job in the hospitality industry is very demanding and failure is not an option. I was born and raised in Vandergrift, PA, a small suburb outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. That is where I saw my first kitchen and caught my first glimpse of the Pittsburgh Steelers, both with my grandmother, "Nonnie."

I used to help Nonnie in the kitchen, baking, making Italian gravy, and cooking all the secret recipes she brought over from Italy. One thing that she taught me was to look at a recipe and take it for what it's worth, and to put my own personality and creativity into it. After Nonnie passed away, I pretty much lost my passion for cooking, but after meeting my best friend Tony and having the opportunity to witness his cooking expertise, I was astonished by some of the things he could whip together. We hosted cooking contests every Sunday during Pittsburgh Steelers football games. Anything was game in the crock pot -- duck, stuffed peppers, meatballs. Today and every day when I am home, I honor his memory by continuing to do what I love, cooking up a storm. I like to see myself as a "Picasso" in the kitchen.

My philosophy is never be afraid to follow your heart and your dreams no matter how far out of reach they may seem because a person who believes in himself is the next BIG THING! At the end of the day, if you feel that you have fulfilled your dreams with no regrets, then you have truly lived. Go Steelers!
