Talk about the show

Micheline, 35, is ready to face her phobia of public speaking, a fear that could be keeping her business from growing. "My legs shake, I stutter, I start sweating even thinking about it," says the custom cake designer. "I realize it's holding me back and I'm getting older, and I need to actually move past it."

Valerie empathizes and suggests that Micheline needs to "feel the fear and do it anyway." So Valerie comes up with a plan, sending Micheline to a hypnotist, and challenging her to speak at a public event and to participate in an improv class. She explains, "The physical reaction that happens when you are in a state of fear, you actually think you are going to die!" Valerie says. "Your body thinks it's that fight or flight kind of thing, and when you're able to do that and get through that and see you're here and you're living, it's like, 'Oh, maybe it wasn't so bad.'"

Micheline then heads to Rachael's studio for her moment of truth: the opportunity to stand at a podium and plug her cake company nationally. But before Micheline takes the stage, Rachael and Val give their final pieces of advice. "I was very nervous when I went to work at the Food Network," Rachael admits. "I think the key is to not make it about you at all, make it about the food ... and use as many visual words as you can." And when all else fails, Valerie suggests, "Picture all of us naked!"

Micheline heads to the podium and gives a confident pitch with ease. "I know this is the ultimate test and I still feel totally calm," she says proudly from the stage. "The fact that it's happened in such a short period of time is just mind-boggling to me!"
